Full Circle
written by Clifton J. Williams

Well my friend, you are my friend,
I hope we see this, someday in the very end,
We’re fussing and fighting for our homelands,
Your land, my land, to me it makes no difference.

To me what I see, is a human being,
Lets share this wine,
everybody drink and everybody feel fine,
We will sing to erase the line,
You go get yours, and I’ll go get mine,
We’ll put it together for a good time.

All I know is what I see,
And what this week has taught to me,
I know there is a side of life,
That is not worth living on.

Well it’s late in the night, or it’s early in the morning,
Your words, they don’t interest me now,
all I can think about is how, I miss my woman.
These empty faces all around, make me want to leave,
Cause I don’t belong.

Here, stuck inside you world, where the phony,
funny people they run around me,
they’re all smiling at me,
the same ugly faces that I can see right through,
The pleasantries that fill your conversations now,
You all put me to sleep, with your boring “do’s,"
With your boring “do’s and,
How do you live?

All I know is what I see,
And what this week has taught to me.
I know there is a side of life,
That is not worth living on.
